GUA SHA THERAPY
Gua Sha is a traditional East Asian healing technique that involves stroking the skin with a smooth-edged tool to improve circulation and promote healing. The name “Gua Sha” comes from the Chinese words “Gua,” meaning to scrape, and “Sha,” referring to the reddish-purple marks that appear on the skin during the treatment.
This is similar to bruising and fades away after a few days. The appearance of this sha shows a stasis of blood, fluids or Qi in the area. Therefore, when using this tool, inflammation is brought to the surface and is released. It is used for:
